About

Mai grew up in Montana but now calls Oregon home. Mai received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Montana. Following her undergraduate degree, Mai worked at a small Montana law firm before moving to Oregon for law school.

Mai received her JD from Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon. While at Willamette, she was an Executive Editor of the Willamette International Law and Dispute Resolution Journal, served as President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, and a Moot Court member. As a Moot Court member, she participated in many of Willamette Law’s competitions and national competitions, including the American Bar Association First Amendment and Media Law Moot Court Competition.

Prior to joining Johnson & Taylor, Mai was a judicial law clerk in Lane County where she had first-hand experience facilitating and coordinating both criminal jury trials and domestic relation bench trials. Mai understands that divorce and custody cases are an emotional and stressful time for families and those involved. Mai is focused on helping you understand and navigating your options to best achieve your goals.

In her free time, Mai loves wine tasting, enjoying the Oregon outdoors, and reading science-fiction novels.
